LAS VEGAS (AP) — UFO buffs and believers in space aliens are celebrating the CIA's clearest acknowledgement yet of the existence of Area 51, the top-secret Cold War test site that has been the subject of elaborate conspiracy theories for decades.
The recently declassified documents have set the tinfoil-hat contingent abuzz on the Internet, though there's no mention in the papers of UFO crashes, black-eyed extraterrestrials or staged moon landings.
"I'm thinking that they're probably testing the waters now to see how mad people get about the big lie and cover-up," said Audrey Hewins, an Oxford, Maine, woman who runs a support group for people like her who believe they have been contacted by extraterrestrials. "We're hoping the CIA is leading up to disclosure" of the existence of space aliens on Earth.
"It's not something you can look at us and lie about, because we know that they're here and have been here for a long time," she said.
The CIA history released Thursday not only refers to Area 51 by name and describes some of the activities that took place there, but places the Air Force base on a map, along the dry Groom Lake bed.
It also describes some cool planes, though none of them are saucer-shaped.
George Washington University's National Security Archive used a public records request to obtain the CIA history of one of Area 51's most secret Cold War projects, the U-2 spy plane program.
National Security Archive senior fellow Jeffrey Richelson first reviewed the history in 2002, but all mentions of the country's most mysterious military base had been redacted. So he requested the history again in 2005, hoping for more information. Sure enough, he received a version a few weeks ago with the mentions of Area 51 restored.
The report is unlikely to stop the conspiracy theories. The 407-page document still contains many redactions, and who's to say those missing sections don't involve little green men?
Some UFO buffs and others believe the most earthshattering revelations will come from Area 51 workers, not an official document.
"The government probably will not release what it knows," UFO researcher Robert Hastings said. "My opinion is that whoever is flying these craft will break the story and will reveal themselves at some point in the future. The CIA is not going to release anything they don't want to talk about."
It's not the first time the government has acknowledged the existence of the super-secret, 8,000-square-mile installation. Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush referred to the "location near Groom Lake" in insisting on continued secrecy, and other government references date to the 1960s.
But Richelson as well as those who are convinced "the truth is out there" are taking the document as a sign of loosening secrecy about the government's activities in the Nevada desert.
The site is known as Area 51 among UFO aficionados because that was the base's designation on old Nevada test site maps. The CIA history reveals that officials renamed it "Paradise Ranch" to try to lure skilled workers, who can still be seen over Las Vegas flying to and from the site on unmarked planes.
Beginning with the U-2 in the 1950s, the base has been the testing ground for a host of top-secret aircraft, including the SR-71 Blackbird, F-117A stealth fighter and B-2 stealth bomber. Some believe the base's Strangelovian hangars also store alien vehicles, evidence from the "Roswell incident" — the alleged 1947 crash of a UFO in New Mexico — and extraterrestrial corpses.
The CIA history mentions an "unexpected side effect" of the high-flying planes: "a tremendous increase in reports of unidentified flying objects." The U-2 and Oxcart planes, which flew higher than civilians believed possible, accounted for half of UFO sightings during the 1950s and '60s, according to the report.
Even for those who do not believe, the mystery surrounding the site — situated about 100 miles northwest of Las Vegas, across miles of empty desert speckled with Joshua trees and sagebrush — has been a boon.
One Nevada bicycle event company produces an "X Rides" event that incorporates mountain and road biking near a certain heavily guarded patch of Nevada desert. Las Vegas' minor league baseball team is called "the 51s."
Small-town restaurants along State Route 375, officially designated the Extraterrestrial Highway, sell souvenir T-shirts to tourists making their way to the boundary of Area 51, which consists of a no-trespassing sign, a surveillance camera and an armed guard on a hill.

Britain makes last of secret UFO files public

The truth is finally out there.

The U.K. government has released the final batch of secret files related to a decades long hunt for little green men -- and revealed that the hunt for aliens was detracting from “more valuable defense-related activities.”

The Ministry of Defense in 2009 closed its UFO desk and hotline, the go-to spot for anyone wishing to warn the government about a recent alien abduction, sighting or any sort of close encounter. The government spent years detailing the accounts from ordinary citizens of such reports, including one from a person who claimed to have been living with an alien.

But despite years or work collecting this information, Carl Mantell of the Royal Air Force's Air Command said that in more than 50 years, "no UFO sighting reported … has ever revealed anything to suggest an extra-terrestrial presence or military threat to the U.K."

According to Sky News, The memo said there was "no defense benefit" in the recording, collating, analysis or investigation of the sightings, adding: "The level of resources diverted to this task is increasing in response to a recent upsurge in reported sightings, diverting staff from more valuable defence-related activities."

Officials predicted a backlash from "ufologists" to the decision to close the UFO desk, Sky News said, and also noted that they had "deliberately avoided formal approaches to other governments on the issue" amid fears of "international collaboration and conspiracy."

The files reveal countless reports, ranging from the banal to the intriguing, that the government had collected between 2007 and 2009:

:: A letter from a school child to the Ministry of Defense asking for the truth about UFOs after she had seen some strange lights, and including a drawing of an alien in a UFO waving.

:: A report received via the UFO hotline by someone who had been "living with an alien" in Carlisle for some time, and one from a man from Cardiff who claimed a UFO abducted his dog, car and tent while he was camping with friends in 2007.

:: Sightings of UFOs over the Houses of Parliament, Stonehenge and Blackpool Pier.

The files also revealed campaigns by ufologists for the Government to investigate sightings more thoroughly, with letters sent to senior ministers, former prime minister Gordon Brown and even the Queen, calling for more action.

Richard French, Ex-Air Force Lt. Colonel, 'It Was A UFO And . . . There Were Aliens Aboard It'

Here's an amazing story from Lee Speigel at Huffington Post!

When Air Force Lt. Col. Richard French was an alleged lead investigator of Project Blue Book in the 1950s, his job was to shoot down false reports of UFOs.

Given his job, French never dreamed he'd end up in Newfoundland one day watching what appeared to him to be two extraterrestrials performing repairs on a submerged, unknown circular craft.

In Washington, D.C., recently, the 83-year-old retired officer testified at the Citizen Hearing On Disclosure panel of six former members of Congress about his work as a UFO debunker in 1952.

French recounted how the Newfoundland incident unfolded decades ago, in the early 1950s, after two UFOs were seen by many people off the coast of St. John's. French's superiors ordered him to look into the situation.

"They said, 'We have a UFO report and we want you to investigate it,' and that was standard for what I was doing," French told The Huffington Post. "They told me there were two of them involved and that they were deep under the water, after entering the water doing roughly 100 miles an hour.

"There were a lot of people assembled on the wharf, at least 100 standing around just looking in amazement at the water, including several local policemen."

Watch Ret. Air Force Lt. Col. Richard French at the Citizen Hearing On Disclosure:

French recalls the water was very clear and he could see two circular craft, each one about 18 feet in diameter and approximately 3 feet thick. He said the two objects were floating below the surface of the water, a couple of feet apart, not more than 20 feet from the shore. And he saw two beings in the water near the ships.

"The first thing I saw was the UFOs, and it was apparent to me that they were doing something to the craft, and I couldn't really tell what because they were on the bottom side of it and not visible to me except when they would occasionally get over to the side where I could see them. The water was fairly clear and I could see without any trouble. They weren't down at the bottom of the [seabed] -- they were about half way down."

French told HuffPost that the two beings he saw "were about 2 or 3 feet tall, light grey in color, very thin, long arms with either two or three fingers. The top of their heads was much wider than their jaw line, their eyes were very slanted and you couldn't see pupils in them. They looked the way [aliens] have been depicted in motion pictures."

As the Air Force UFO debunker watched, he claims one of the ships began to rise out of the water.

"When it hit the [surface], it was going about 100 miles an hour. It then accelerated to somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,500 to 3,000 miles an hour and disappeared. It returned about 20 minutes later, slowed down to nearly a stop before it entered the water, then went down, and the two [beings] worked together.

"It took them about 20 minutes and then the two ships departed together, again slow when they exited the water, and immediately they sped up to a very high speed. I believe they were repairing [the ship] and tested that the repairs had been adequate, and then away they went."

Watch French talk about his job as an Air Force UFO debunker:

Ironically, French's job at the time -- as a Project Blue Book investigator -- was to debunk UFOs. So, what kind of report did he file with Blue Book about this case he had personally witnessed?

"Needless to say, it was a fictitious report, as all of them were. I didn't really say that they were UFOs -- I said that there was something we didn't know -- some type of foreign or unrecognizable vehicle there. In other words, I weasel-worded it.

"Oh, I think without a doubt it was a UFO and I think there were aliens aboard it. There's no question in my mind that was exactly what it was, and my duty was to debunk the story, so I did my best to do so."

The events of the Newfoundland UFO and alleged aliens took place some 60 years ago, in the days before everyone had a digital camera or image-capture cell phone in their pocket. Despite the fact that there are no photographs to substantiate the report, it's still an amazing story.

So what are we to make of this? Because it's not the first time French has stirred up the UFO-ET pot.

Last year, he told HuffPost exclusively that there wasn't just one UFO crash near Roswell, N.M., in 1947 -- he said there were two.

Haunted Highway returns July 24th

The SyFy series, Haunted Highway was trashed by a lot of reviews and even a lot of viewers for being too much like Blair Witch Project, but I really liked the concept, the investigators, and the mysteries they explored.

All the original members are coming back. Jack Osbourne, Dana Workman, Devin Marble, and (my favorite) Jael de Pardo will take up 12 more mysteries in six new episodes beginning July 24th on SyFy Channel. Marble and de Pardo also teamed up in "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files." De Pardo first came to my attention in "Destination Truth."

The series premiered July 3, 2012 and included such mysteries as the Louisiana Swamp Monster, Utah Skinwalker, and the Bear Lake Beast.
I look forward to seeing which mysteries they will find out there.

Is war against Syria part of a bigger plan?

When you smell a rat, you usually find a rat, right? I think this may be the case for war against Syria.

When I first heard President Obama condemn the Syrian president Bashar Assad for using chemicals on his own people, it was like deja vu. Isn't that what we said Saddam Hussein did to get into war with Iraq? But, doesn't the US government have a very long, long documented history of spraying its own people with chemicals??

Then I read this article below:

http://www.infowars.com/israel-helps-its-al-qaeda-ally-with-attack-on-syria/

It states that Israel received military support from Al-Qaeda in its latest attack on Syria. And isn't Israel our "greatest" ally? Apparently we have a history of arming Al-Qaeda and employing their services, which made me think about the 9-11 conspiracy again and the CIA's relationship with Osama Bin Laden.

Then, I hear that Secretary of State John Kerry has gone to Russia to speak with President Putin to talk them into supporting a war against Syria, I mean "to take a tougher stance on Syria":

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/07/john-kerry-vladimir-putin-syria-talks_n_3227389.html

Then, I hear that we and our British allies may send arms to the Syrian rebels to fight against the evil Assad regime, which, by the way, claims that it's the rebels which have used the deadly gas:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2318993/Britain-set-end-arms-embargo-Syrian-rebels-Assad-massacres-100-men-women-children-knives-guns.html

BUT, then I hear UN human rights investigator Carla del Ponte, who is a very reliable source, say that they have information that it's the rebels and not the government that has sprayed Sarin gas on its own people.

http://www.kantipuronline.com/2013/05/06/world/syrian-rebels-used-sarin-un-rights-investigator/371209.html

So, if we are giving weapons to the rebels who has used Sarin, a powerful neurotoxin developed by Nazi scientists in the 1930s, to fight against a government, which may not have used Sarin at all, and we are using Al-Qaeda forces in our alliance against them, and we are trying to get Russia to side with us against Syria, it seems to me that there could possibly be an agenda to put someone else, perhaps someone we personally choose with the same master plan as us, in power in Syria.

Dyer Bigfoot Hoax exposed

Posted May 5, 2013

Rick Dyer may be the worst Bigfoot hoaxer in the world. Making claims in "Shooting Bigfoot" that director Matthew Minnow filmed a close encounter with Sasquatch in an area behind a Home Depot in San Antonio, Texas is a pretty obvious hoax. In this interview with a homeless man on location during the shoot, a number of contradictions arise. Listen for yourself.

J.R. Bob Dobbs Jr. went to the film location and spoke with several homeless people living in the area. Although a 9-1-1 call was made in 2007 by a homeless man claiming that there was a bigfoot in the area, Dobbs was unable to find him.

It's not the first time Dyer has been exposed creating a Bigfoot hoax.  He's better known for the "Bigfoot in a freezer" hoax of 2008.

Part of landing gear from 9/11 plane is found?

Why is this hard for me to believe? And what are the odds that this has never been discovered in the 11 and a half years since it happened? Don't people walk through alleyways in Manhattan anymore? Perhaps not tourists, but I would think someone does, if not a "bad element."And yet, no one ever noticed this before?

Hmm. No, not suspicious at all.

And, please note that Boeing could only confirm that the part came from a Boeing plane, and not that it came from a specific Boeing plane.

But, please read on.

Source: http://news.yahoo.com/part-found-near-world-trade-center-boeing-jet-234312730.html

NEW YORK (AP) — A rusted piece of airplane landing gear discovered wedged between two New York City buildings has been confirmed as coming from the type of Boeing jet used to destroy the nearby World Trade Center on Sept. 11.

The American Airlines and United Airlines planes hijacked by Islamic extremists in 2001 were Boeing 767s.

Police said Saturday detectives have been in contact with officials at Chicago-based Boeing Co. who confirm the wreckage is from that kind of plane.

Workers discovered the landing gear part Wednesday wedged between a luxury apartment building and a mosque that in 2010 prompted virulent national debate about Islam and freedom of speech because it's just blocks from ground zero.

Unidentified bones found in tavern could be Jimmy Hoffa

Crews taking down a wall inside Wexler's Tavern on State Road in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood found Wednesday what appears to be bones.

According to CPD, there was something thought to be bones found during construction and the ME's office will take the evidence and determine the origin.

The reason for the commotion is quite simple. The owner has reason to believe that the remains of Jimmy Hoffa could possibly be buried there.

Here's the story according to Brian Van Flandern, a restaurant consultant from New York who was hired by the new owner of Wexler's Tavern, Doug Graziano to re-design the place:

In 1987, the owner of the bar at the time, Lou Gentile found seven football sized packages that appeared to have a human hand and spinal column wrapped inside. After speaking to cops, who were regulars at the bar, Gentile was asked if he really wanted to dig deeper because that would mean the bar would be shut down for close to a year during the investigation and his new renovations would be busted up to get into the wall and police would not be responsible for reimbursing one cent for damages. So Gentile decided to do as advised by the officers and throw the stuff out to remain in business.

Last month, Graziano decided to find out if any bones were still in the wall.

While cutting a panel out, an old matchbook from the Palm Desert Lodge in California fell out of the wall.

Gentile never publicly shared his story until now, since Graziano is following up and tearing up the bar for answers.

Van Flandern said that he Googled "Palm Desert Lodge California Jimmy Hoffa" and the place was commonly referred to as "the house Jimmy Hoffa built".

So now the investigation continues into finding Jimmy Hoffa's body and information about what really happened in 1975.

So far no police are involved in the search and a contractor is being brought in to continue looking for evidence. Right now there is no proof that Jimmy Hoffa was ever in the tavern -- dead or alive.

Aliens in the Backyard [Paperback]

By Trish and Rob MacGregor

Publication Date: February 4, 2013

Book Description: In the early morning hours of March 28, 2011, Charles and Helene Fontaine experienced something that shattered their beliefs about the nature of reality. One evening in 1981, Connie J Cannon was on I-75 with her young son, en route to their new home in Florida, when they suddenly found themselves on a military base, with a man in uniform holding a gun to her head as three Grays stood nearby. In 1979, Diane Fine was on her way from upstate New York to Vermont to see an obstetrics specialist for her high risk pregnancy, and experienced two hours of missing time. When she was finally examined at the clinic, she was told wasn't pregnant. In 1970, pilot Bruce Gernon was chased by something through the Bermuda Triangle and he has been talking about it ever since-to UFO Hunters, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, the History Channel, the Sci-Fi channel, and all their foreign counterparts. These individuals have never met. But they share something significant. In 2003, a Roper Organization survey revealed that 33 million Americans may be abductees. Aliens in the Backyard is their story. "Trish and Rob MacGregor have written a sobering, engaging and important book about the mysterious subject of alien abduction. When I read it, I was reminded of how little we know about this incredible, complex and enigmatic subject, and just how much light this insightful book sheds on it. If we are ever going to understand this phenomenon, books such as this are essential. Read it and wonder: what have we missed about our world? Perhaps the most important thing that has ever happened. Aliens in the Back Yard is a treasure." Whitley Strieber

The Secret History of the Reptilians: The Pervasive Presence of the Serpent in Human History, Religion and Alien Mythos [Paperback]

By Scott Alan Roberts

Publication Date: February 25, 2013

Description: The very real probability that non-human intelligences visited and even copulated with primordial humans is detailed in civilization's most ancient cultural and religious records. These historical records further reveal that these intelligences were reptilian in nature--or, at the very least, have been represented throughout human history in reptilian form.

From the Serpent, Nachash, in the Garden of Eden; Atum, the Egyptian snake-man; and Quetzalcotl, the feathered serpent god of the Mayans to the double-helix snake symbol of Enki/Ea in ancient Sumerian literature, the serpent has been the omnipresent link between humans and the gods in every culture.

"Fortunately, Scott Roberts boldly goes where few men have surfaced from, providing a well-balanced, innovative, and insightful approach to the topic."

Conspiracy at the Boston Marathon?

by Anthony Gucciardi
April 17th, 2013
Updated 04/17/2013 at 7:47 pm

There has been much discussion over the two individuals fitted with earpieces and military-esque gear spotted at the Boston Marathon, but as it turns out they may likely be employees of the Blackwater-style private military/security firm Craft International.

The two can be seen in the photo below with their hands up to their ears in what is later (second photo) confirmed to be a a wired communications device. Originally, it was thought that these men were likely some sort of military or special operations — specifically SEAL team members as indicated by an emblem on one of their black hats. After doing some digging, however, it becomes much more likely that these men are employees of Craft International — a private military/security firm similar in nature to Blackwater (Xe).

Here is the first image of the men cropped from the larger picture of the marathon:

From this, we first see the military-style men wearing what later is revealed to be standard issue Craft International clothing.

Related: Exclusive Interview With Boston Marathon Eyewitness Confirms Bomb Squad Drill

But next let’s examine another image that not only establishes the existence of an ear piece but also the skull logo on the one individual’s hat — which is actually the logo for Craft International, the private military firm started by famed sniper Chris Kyle. Here is the image below, which draws parallels between the SEAL aspect of the symbol (and Blackwater) but does not address Craft International:

Now it’s time to narrow it down. Are these men SEALS, Blackwater, or what? Well, by visiting the Craft International About Us page, we start to get answers. Not only is the favicon (little tab icon) of the site the exact same logo (which on the hat presumably reads ‘Craft’), but in image 3 (seen below) we see Chris Kyle with the exact same standard issue Craft International uniform we see these men wearing. From the boots, pants, and even baseball cap icon, it matches up. See for yourself below:

So are these individuals working for Craft International? It seems so, but why are private military soldiers present at the Boston Marathon? Perhaps it coincides with the perceived threat of a bombing that eyewitness Alastair Stevenson reports.

UPDATE: FBI briefing on Boston bombings postponed. The FBI said it “needs more time to prepare” before speaking to the media. Struggling to get their narrative straight in the aftermath of numerous men with backpacks being identified?

Photos collated on the 4chan website show numerous images of suspicious individuals wearing large backpacks present at the scene of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Three of the men appear to be Arab or Middle Eastern in appearance, whereas another two of the individuals are white.

The images show the men looking away from the marathon runners, talking on cellphones and running from the scene immediately after the blast.

Remains of one of the backpacks are also photographed yards from where one of the bombs exploded. The FBI states that at least one of the pressure cooker devices used in the bombing was housed in a backpack.

Some of these men may have merely been victims, but the image of the two men standing together wearing the same clothes and carrying heavy backpacks and wearing credentials suggests they may have been involved in a drill or in the actual attack. One of individuals, a white man whose backpack was found at the scene of the bombing, looks badly dressed and disheveled.

The Associated Press is now reporting that authorities have identified a suspect wearing a “black jacket on a cell phone, wearing a gray hoodie and a white baseball cap backwards placing a black bag at the second bomb site outside of the Forum restaurant on Boylston Street and then leaving the area before that explosion,” a description which closely but not specifically could be applied to more than one different man identified in the photos below.

As eyewitness Ali Stevenson reported, marathon runners were told before the bombing that a “drill” was taking place involving bomb sniffing dogs and spotters of roofs and to remain calm, although police later denied that any exercise had taken place.

CNN reported that authorities have identified one of the suspects involved in the attack by means of “video from a department store near the site of the second explosion” and “video from a Boston television station.”CNN backed off a report that a suspect had already been arrested.

The Boston Globe also reports that, “authorities have an image of a suspect carrying and possibly dropping a black bag at the second blast site on Boylston Street.”

NewsCenter5 is reporting that, “An arrest is imminent or may have already taken place,” and that the individual is being taken to court.

Stanton Friedman Lambastes Phil Plait & Astronomy Magazine in Open Letter!

 By Stanton Friedman

As a scientist who has been studying the UFO evidence since 1958, I must commend ASTRONOMY for publishing such a splendid example of the intellectual bankruptcy of the pseudoscience of anti-ufology ,namely Phil Plait’s “The Science Behind UFOs” (May 2013). He avoids all the science! There are 5 large scale scientific studies. None are mentioned. There are at least 12 PhD Theses about UFOs. None are mentioned. There are numerous radar visual accounts. None are mentioned. There are more than 5000 Physical Trace Cases collected by Ted Phillips from 95 countries. None are mentioned. There are a number of well investigated UFO abduction cases investigated by Professionals such as Psychiatrist Dr. John Mack of Harvard. None are mentioned.

The largest study is “Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14” done by engineers and scientists at Battelle Memorial Institute under contract to the USAF. It has over 200 tables, charts, graphs, maps, etc and deals with 3201 UFO sightings of which 21.5% were finally listed as UNKNOWNS, completely separate from the 9.3% listed as Insufficient Information. The better the quality of the sighting the more likely to be an UNKNOWN.A chi-square statistical analysis showed that the probability that the UNKNOWNS were just missed knowns was less than 1%.

The 247 page ”Symposium on Unidentified Flying Objects: Hearings Before the Committee on Science and Astronautics, U.S. House of Representatives” ,July 29, 1968, provides testimony from 12 scientists , three of whom were astronomers. One was Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Chairman of the Astronomy Department at Northwestern University, and for more than 20 years consultant to the USAF Project Blue Book. His book “The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry” should be required reading and contains many intriguing sightings. The most comprehensive presentation was by Dr. James E. McDonald, Senior Physicist in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Arizona. He covered 41 separate cases including sightings by astronomers such as Dr. Clyde Tombaugh, the discoverer of the planet Pluto, and multiple witness radar visual cases.

The University of Colorado’s “Scientific Report on UFOs “(The Condon Report) included information on 117 cases of which, according to a special UFO Subcommittee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 30% could not be identified..This book has the folllowing statement about the Trent Photo from McMinnville, Oregon, May 1950, noted by Plait. “This is one of the few UFO Reports in which all factors investigated, geometric, psychological, and physical appear to be consistent with the assertion that an extraordinary flying object, silvery, metallic, disk shaped, tens of meters in diameter and evidently artificial, flew within sight of two witnesses”.

The explanation given for the earlier Phoenix Lights as representing jets flying in formation is ridiculous. The object was huge, silent, flying slowly, blotting out the sky. It had no red and green lights. An important witness was Arizona governor, Fife Symington, a former air force officer and pilot. Plait acts as though all UFO sightings are just lights in the sky which are easily identified by somebody like him”A scientist, a Skeptic, a Hardnosed realist”. The facts indicate that this is totally untrue.
One possible explanation for Plait’s complete failure to deal with the science of UFOs is that, considering the date, it was written as an April Fool’s Day joke. If so, I apologize.

Five Years Later: A Look back at Indiana UFO Wave

On April 16, 2008, in Kokomo, Indiana, an unidentified flying object not only put on an air show for numerous residents, but woke the town up with a sonic boom, reportedly rumored to be louder than a sonic boom made by a F-16.

Was this a misidentification, alien contact, or both? You decide. The photo evidence has been difficult to reproduce, and the military's official story has changed a couple times.

Brewer offers $1M Bigfoot reward

Sasquatch has been on the lam for far too long and brewer Olympia Beer is out to catch the elusive beast.

Evan and Daren Metropoulos, owners of Pabst Brewing Company and Olympia Beer, are offering a $1 million reward for “the safe return of Bigfoot.”

“We have been sharing the same backyard for over a century and we believe it’s time to do what has never been done,” the company announced on its website. “That is to offer a one million dollar reward to anyone who can ensure the safe capture of Bigfoot.”

According to the official rules of the contest, the winner must prove “the irrefutable existence of Bigfoot at some time during the period beginning January 1, 1989 through March 31, 2014.”

And they are serious about “irrefutable” evidence.

The rules state that acceptable proof must be in the form of DNA evidence (hair, blood, tissue or saliva) that does not have the same genetic markers and DNA sequence as any known species ever discovered. The evidence may also include ‘Visual Proof’ of a live physical body.

The contest will run for one year, finishing at the end of March 2014. The website states the $1M reward will be payable at $25,000 per year for 40 years. Happy Hunting, folks.

Politicians to take serious look at UFO phenomenon

An event with historical implications will be held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC from April 29 to May 3, 2013. At that time as many as forty researchers and military/agency witnesses will testify for thirty hours over five days before former members of the United States Congress.

The Citizen Hearing Committee will be Senator Mike Gravel (Dem/Lib, AK), Congresswomen Lynn Woolsey (Dem, CA), Carolyn Kilpatrick, (Dem, MI), Darlene Hooley (Dem, OR); and Congressmen Roscoe Bartlett (Rep, MD) and Merrill Cook (Rep, UT).

The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race will attempt to accomplish what the Congress has failed to do for forty-five years - seek out the facts surrounding the most important issue of this or any other time.

For this reason the motto for the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure is "If the Congress will not do its job, the people will."

Reflecting the global implications of the issue, the entire CHD will be live streamed worldwide in English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Mandarin (archive only). This represents approximately one half of the world's population. The live webcast will also include side press conferences with witnesses as well as interviews by former CNN News Anchor Cheryll Jones. The English and Spanish webcast will include evening lectures presented by Hearing witnesses.

The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure will be filmed as the basis for a forthcoming documentary-Truth Embargo - by Just Cause Entertainment.

The title of this film is fitting as the goal of the Citizen Hearing is nothing less than the end of the extraterrestrial truth embargo this year. The world's people have waited long enough.

The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure will bring 40 researchers and government/agency witnesses to Washington, DC to testify before former members of the U. S. Congress on events and evidence supporting the truth of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race and a government policy to embargo that truth.

Chem Trails in the neighborhood

Yesterday, I took this picture outside my house of obvious "chem trails" in the western sky. They stayed there for an extremely long time, which is typical of chemical spraying, and not a typical contrail from a jet.

The chem trail phenomenon really took off, excuse the play on words, in 1996 when it became apparent that jets were conducting aerial spraying over populace areas. Even a US congressman, Dennis Kucinich mentioned "Chem trails" in a bill, which was quickly killed in committee.

Supporters of this conspiracy theory speculate that the purpose of the chemical release may be for solar radiation management, psychological manipulation, weather control, or biological warfare.chemical warfare and that these trails are causing respiratory illnesses and other health problems. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemtrail_conspiracy_theory).  But I think if you believe in the "New World Order" conspiracy, the answer to why is simple: population control.

This is NO HOAX! It is going on in ALL 50 states.

Our government would never spray its own citizens, would it? Well, actually they already have and were caught doing it. It is documented:

During the 1950s and '60s, the U.S. Army dusted chosen American cities from coast to coast with a fine powder of a fluorescent, potentially toxic chemical. And now one scientist says, at least in the case of St. Louis, that powder may have contained radioactive material.

The powder scattering was part of Operation Large Area Coverage (LAC), a series of tests the Army says were designed to assess the threat of biological attacks by simulating the airborne dispersion of germs. The experiments exposed large swathes of the United States, and parts of Mexico and Canada, to flurries of a synthesized chemical called zinc cadmium sulfide.

New research from sociologist Lisa Martino-Taylor in St. Louis, one of the cities singled out for heavy-duty testing during LAC, suggests the Army may have mixed radioactive particles with the zinc cadmium sulfide it spread throughout a poor, mostly black neighborhood there.

Exerpt from http://www.mindfully.org/Reform/Military-Germs-US-Cities.htm:

In other tests in the 1950s, Army researchers dispersed Serratia on Panama City, Fla., and Key West, Fla., with no known illnesses resulting. They also released fluorescent compounds over Minnesota and other Midwestern states to see how far they would spread in the atmosphere. The particles of zinc-cadmium-sulfide -- now a known cancer-causing agent -- were detected more than 1,000 miles away in New York state, the Army told the Senate hearings, though no illnesses were ever attributed to them as a result.
Another bacterium, Bacillus globigii, never shown to be harmful to people, was released in San Francisco, while still others were tested on unwitting residents in New York, Washington, D.C., and along the Pennsylvania Turnpike, among other places, according to Army reports released during the 1977 hearings.
In New York, military researchers in 1966 spread Bacillus subtilis variant Niger, also believed to be harmless, in the subway system by dropping lightbulbs filled with the bacteria onto tracks in stations in midtown Manhattan. The bacteria were carried for miles throughout the subway system, leading Army officials to conclude in a January 1968 report: "Similar covert attacks with a pathogenic [disease-causing] agent during peak traffic periods could be expected to expose large numbers of people to infection and subsequent illness or death."
Army officials also found widespread dispersal of bacteria in a May 1965 secret release of Bacillus globigii at Washington's National Airport and its Greyhound bus terminal, according to military reports released a few years after the Senate hearings. More than 130 passengers who had been exposed to the bacteria traveling to 39 cities in seven states in the two weeks following the mock attack.
The Army kept the biological-warfare tests secret until word of them was leaked to the press in the 1970s. Between 1949 and 1969, when President Nixon ordered the Pentagon's biological weapons destroyed, open-air tests of biological agents were conducted 239 times, according to the Army's testimony in 1977 before the Senate's subcommittee on health. In 80 of those experiments, the Army said it used live bacteria that its researchers at the time thought were harmless, such as the Serratia that was showered on San Francisco. In the others, it used inert chemicals to simulate bacteria.
Several medical experts have since claimed that an untold number of people may have gotten sick as a result of the germ tests. These researchers say even benign agents can mutate into unpredictable pathogens once exposed to the elements.
"The possibility cannot be ruled out that peculiarities in wind conditions or ventilation systems in buildings might concentrate organisms, exposing people to high doses of bacteria," testified Stephen Weitzman of the State University of New York, in the 1977 Senate hearings.
For its part, the Army justified its experiments by noting concerns during World War II that U.S. cities might come under biological attack. To prepare a response, the Army said, it had to test microbes on populated areas to learn how bacteria disperse.
"Release in and near cities, in real-world circumstances, were considered essential to the program, because the effect of a built-up area on a biological agent cloud was unknown," Edward A. Miller, the Army's secretary for research and development at the time, told the subcommittee.

Coral Castle still fascinates

The mystery of Coral Castle has always fascinated me. It's still a mystery as to how Edward Leedskalnin, who was a small man, was able to more coral stones weighing over a ton by himself. He wrote a couple books, but no one has ever been able to figure out how it was "humanly" possible.

In upcoming months, I will try to explore this mystery a little more in depth. For now, here is a recent youtube with archival footage of Coral Castle:

'Gate to Hell' discovered in Turkey

“Any animal that passes inside meets instant death.”— Ancient Greek geographer Strabo

As far as archaeological discoveries go, it's a darker one: Pluto's Gate -- aka, the fabled gate to the underworld -- has reportedly been unearthed in Turkey.

The team behind the dig made the announcement last month, and ANSA and Discovery report on the finding and the Greco-Roman mythology behind the portal: Cicero and Greek geographer Strabo made reference to the entryway to Hell in their writings, and placed it in the ancient city of Hierapolis.

As Strabo explained of the cave opening, which spewed noxious vapors, "Any animal that passes inside meets instant death. I threw in sparrows and they immediately breathed their last and fell."

Italian archaeologist Francesco D'Andria has been examining Hierapolis for years (he formerly claimed he found one of the 12 apostles' tombs there). This time around, he explains his team found the portal "by reconstructing the route of a thermal spring" to the cave; he was also able to identify the ruins of a temple, pool, and steps -- from which pagan pilgrims would watch sacred rites performed at the portal's opening -- referenced in descriptions of the cave.

"We could see the cave's lethal properties during the excavation," he says. "Several birds died as they tried to get close to the warm opening, instantly killed by the carbon dioxide fumes."

Best April Fool's Day Paranormal Hoaxes of all time

No one really knows when or why April Fool's Day began, but it has given a few paranormal hoaxes to remember.

1972: The Body of Nessie Found

On March 31 1972, a team of zoologists from Yorkshire's Flamingo Park Zoo, who were at Loch Ness searching for proof of Nessie's existence, found a mysterious carcass floating in the Loch. Initial reports claimed it weighed a ton and a half and was 15 ½ feet long. The zoologists placed the body in a van and began to transport it back to the zoo. However, the police chased down their truck and stopped it under a 1933 act of Parliament prohibiting the removal of "unidentified creatures" from Loch Ness. The body was then taken to nearby Dunfermline for examination. The discovery of the carcass received worldwide media attention. The British press dubbed it "Son of Nessie." But upon examination, Edinburgh scientists identified the creature as a bull elephant seal from the South Atlantic. The next day John Shields, Flamingo Park's education officer, confessed he had been responsible for the body. The bull elephant seal had died the week before at Dudley Zoo. He had shaved off its whiskers, padded its cheeks with stones, and kept it frozen for a week, before dumping it in the Loch and then phoning in a tip to make sure his colleagues found it. He had meant to play an April Fool's prank on his colleagues, but admitted the joke got out of hand when the police chased down their van.

1976: Planetary Alignment Decreases Gravity

The British astronomer Patrick Moore announced on BBC Radio 2 that at 9:47 AM a once-in-a-lifetime astronomical event was going to occur that listeners could experience in their very own homes. The planet Pluto would pass behind Jupiter, temporarily causing a gravitational alignment that would counteract and lessen the Earth's own gravity. Moore told his listeners that if they jumped in the air at the exact moment that this planetary alignment occurred, they would experience a strange floating sensation. When 9:47 AM arrived, BBC2 began to receive hundreds of phone calls from listeners claiming to have felt the sensation. One woman even reported that she and her eleven friends had risen from their chairs and floated around the room.
1989: UFO Lands in London

On March 31, 1989 thousands of motorists driving on the highway outside London looked up in the air to see a glowing flying saucer descending on their city. Many of them pulled to the side of the road to watch the bizarre craft float through the air. The saucer finally landed in a field on the outskirts of London where local residents immediately called the police to warn them of an alien invasion. Soon the police arrived on the scene, and one brave officer approached the craft with his truncheon extended before him. When a door in the craft popped open, and a small, silver-suited figure emerged, the policeman ran in the opposite direction. The saucer turned out to be a hot-air balloon that had been specially built to look like a UFO by Richard Branson, the 36-year-old chairman of Virgin Records. The stunt combined his passion for ballooning with his love of pranks. His plan was to land the craft in London's Hyde Park on April 1. Unfortunately, the wind blew him off course, and he was forced to land a day early in the wrong location.

2008: Flying Penguins

The BBC announced that camera crews filming near the Antarctic for its natural history series Miracles of Evolution had captured footage of Adélie penguins taking to the air. It even offered a video clip of these flying penguins, which became one of the most viewed videos on the internet. Presenter Terry Jones explained that, instead of huddling together to endure the Antarctic winter, these penguins took to the air and flew thousands of miles to the rainforests of South America where they "spend the winter basking in the tropical sun." A follow-up video explained how the BBC created the special effects of the flying penguins.

New test dates Shroud of Turin to era of Christ

Although the Vatican makes no claim on the shroud's authenticity as a relic, Pope Francis introduced a special TV appearance of the burial cloth on Holy Saturday.

(Photo: Barrie M. Schwortz, AP)

New scientific tests on the Shroud of Turin, which went on display Saturday in a special TV appearance introduced by the Pope, dates the cloth to ancient times, challenging earlier experiments dating it only to the Middle Ages.

Pope Francis sent a special video message to the televised event in the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, Italy, which coincided with Holy Saturday, when Catholics mark the period between Christ's crucifixion on Good Friday and his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

The Vatican, tiptoeing carefully, has never claimed that the 14-foot linen cloth was, as some believers claim, used to cover Christ after he was taken from the cross 2,000 years ago.

Francis, reflecting that careful Vatican policy, on Saturday called the cloth, which is kept in a climate-controlled case, an "icon" -- not a relic.

But Cesare Nosiglia, the Archbishop of Turin and "pontifical custodian of the shroud," said the special display on Holy Saturday "means that it represents a very important testimony to the Passion and the resurrection of the Lord," The Telegraph reported.

A new app, called Shroud 2.0, display images of "The Shroud of Turin" along with scientific and theological interpretations prepared with the Diocese of Turin and the International Center of Sindonologywhich is the scientific study of the shroud. (Photo: Vincenzo Pinto, AFP/Getty Images)

The burial shroud purports to show the imprint of the face and body of a bearded man. The image also purportedly shows nail wounds at the man's wrist and pinpricks around his brow, consistent with the "crown of thorns" mockingly pressed onto Christ at the time of his crucifixion.

Many experts have stood by a 1988 carbon-14 dating of scraps of the cloth carried out by labs in Oxford, Zurich and Arizona that dated it from 1260 to 1390, which, of course, would rule out its used during the time of Christ.

The new test, by scientists at the University of Padua in northern Italy, used the same fibers from the 1988 tests but disputes the findings. The new examination dates the shroud to between 300 BC and 400 AD, which would put it in the era of Christ.

It determined that the earlier results may have been skewed by contamination from fibers used to repair the cloth when it was damaged by fire in the Middle Ages, the British newspaper reported. The cloth has been kept at the cathedral since 1578.

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

He also said his tests also supported earlier results claiming to have found traces of dust and pollen on that shroud that could only have come from the Holy Land.

The latest findings are contained in a new Italian-language book — Il Mistero Della Sindone or The Mystery of the Shroud, by Giulio Fanti, a professor of mechanical and thermal measurement at Padua University, and Saverio Gaeta, a journalist.

Fanti, a Catholic, used infra-red light and spectroscopy – the measurement of radiation intensity through wavelengths -- in his test. He said the results are the outcome of 15 years of research.

The Telegraph also reports that a new app, sanctioned by the Catholic church and called "Shroud 2.0," allows anyone to use a smart phone or tablet to explore the shroud in detail.

Released FBI Document strongly suggests UFO existence

A one-page internal 63-year-old memo about a UFO report involving three alleged flying saucers and alien bodies recovered in New Mexico is making the rounds again this week. And it all started with a story that the FBI itself released.

In its own memo, titled "UFOs or No?" the FBI has informed the public that one particular memo from 1950 is the most popular file in their Vault -- an electronic reading room made available to everyone since its creation in 2011.

With nearly a million views over the past two years, the memo tells of "an unconfirmed report that the FBI never even followed up on. The file in question is a memo dated March 22, 1950 ... authored by Guy Hottel, then head of our field office in Washington, D.C. Like all memos to FBI Headquarters at that time, it was addressed to Director J. Edgar Hoover and recorded and indexed in FBI records."

The memo told a third party story of an alleged Air Force investigator who reported that three flying saucers were recovered in New Mexico.

According to the original memo and reiterated by the FBI this week, the saucers "were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots."

If this memo had already been released as part of the Vault files two years ago, why did the FBI decide to focus attention on it again this week?

A number of media stories have surfaced, claiming the Hottel memo was first released or declassified two years ago when the FBI created the Vault. This is completely untrue. Let's get the facts straight.

First, the bureau explains that this document wasn't released in 2011 -- "It was first released publicly in the late 1970s and had been posted on the FBI website for several years prior to the launch of the Vault."

Second, the Hottel memo actually was obtained in 1977 by retired U.S. Navy optical physicist Bruce Maccabee, who got it as part of 1,600 documents released to him via the Freedom of Information Act.

Also, the FBI notes that when the Vault was launched in 2011, "some media outlets noticed the Hottel memo and erroneously reported that the FBI had posted proof of a UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico, and the recovery of wreckage and alien corpses. The resulting stories went viral, and traffic to the new Vault soared."

The bureau wants everyone to know that the memo in question was written three years after the alleged events at Roswell, with no connection between them at all.

Interestingly, right after the Vault was created and offered to the public, this reporter wrote a story about it in 2011, focusing on some evidence that had surfaced surrounding an oil scam artist who, two weeks before the Hottel memo was written, had spread stories about three crashed UFOs with aliens.

The FBI hints that some people had suggested the flying saucer-alien story was a hoax that had circulated in 1950. The bureau ends its tale saying, "Sorry, no smoking gun on UFOs. The mystery remains..."

Updates on The Ketchum/Bigfoot DNA Study

(Source: http://www.ghosttheory.com/2013/03/22/news-on-the-ketchumbigfoot-dna-story)

According to Dr. Ketchum on her Facebook page:

Melba Ketchum:
We just heard from some mtDNA geneticists and they have found uniqueness in our mtDNA findings that prove that 1. The data is real and couldn’t have been hoaxed 2. That it shows relatedness amongst a large percentage of the samples 3. Supports our hybridization theory 4. Supports our timeline. I am estatic. We are asking permission to make these findings public. As soon as we have it, we will post them.

We just received permission to post. There will most likely be a new paper come from this so we will not post the new findings but you will see enough of the proof to validate the paper. I am SO excited!!!!!

Here is an excerpt that Ketchum says appears in the evaluation:

The following was a unsolicited commentary by A. John Marsh on a geaneology DNA page which scientis use to discuss mtDna origin. This is not the complete discussion . However it sums up the analysis.T2 BIGFOOTS FOUND IN 5 DIFFERENT STATES:Along with the fact that all Bigfoots seem to have several different mtDNA mutations from each other, they also are found in 5 different states. It suggests that if a single T2b human female mated with a Bigfoot male 13,000 years ago, that the descendants of the T2b ancestor have spread widely in USA since then.

AGE OF T2b:Web site
http://www.nature.com/srep/2012/121018/srep00745/full/srep00745.html. If T2b is 12-10kya, and T1/ T2 coalesced about 19kya, T2b might very roughly originate about 10,000 to 15,000 years ago.

THINGS I NOTED ABOUT MUTATIONS DIFFERENT IN BIGFOOT AND HUMANS:

One thing I noted was that all the 52 number diverse T2b haplogroup listed humans in the T2 project had a mutation 146T, but none of the Bigfoot had that mutation. It seems in fact that all T haplogroup have 146T. I am guessing that the earliest common ancestor of all Bigfoots had a back mutation on that marker to the CRS value.

Another thing I noticed was that all Bigfoots which appear to have been tested on the lower number markers, have mutation 73G. Yet not one of the
52 human mtDNA T2b persons had the mutation 73G. Why not? Was 73G a very early mutation in the Bigfoot line?

All the fully tested 4 Bigfoots had the 263G mutation, but not one single one of the 52 humans had 263G. Why not?

It seems all human T2bs have have 16187C and 16189T, but no bigfoots have either. In fact, all human haplgroup T are postive for both these mutations, so presumably in the common ancestor of all Bigfoots there was a mutation reverting to CRS.

According to the Ketchum knockers, all the mtDNA Haplotypes in her project are modern contamination. All of these Bigfoot haplotypes are different.
Isn’t it a bit puzzling that all of these humans mistaken as Bigfoot have different T2 mtDNA haplotypes, all have 73G and 263G mutations not found in humans, and all seem to have had back mutations on 146T, 16187C and 16189T, where these back mutations are apparently not found in any human T2b s?

Dairy industry sneaking aspartame into your milk

There have been conspiracy theories for years suggesting our own government is trying to kill some of us off, to bring us to more manageable numbers, and "decrease the surplus population". Well, here's another example that is shocking! They want to be able to put stuff (that they know is bad for you) in your food without your knowledge by removing labels on the product that identifies the chemicals.

Check out this article from the Examiner, written by Margie King.

It’s bad enough that aspartame, that sickly sweet chemical, has made its way into over 6,000 products on your grocery store shelves. According to the Weston A. Price Foundation, the dairy industry has now petitioned the FDA to allow the addition of artificial sweeteners to flavored milks served to school children -without disclosing it on the front of the label.

In a press release, Sally Fallon Morell, president and founder of the Weston A. Price Foundation, said:

“The integrity of our food supply is poised for another blow. By asking the FDA to alter the definition of "milk" to include chemical sweeteners such as aspartame and sucralose without full disclosure will only lead to further distrust among consumers. This is a bad idea for consumers and not a smart idea for the industry either.”

Filed by the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF), the petition seeks to allow the chemical sweetener without the current requirement that the label declare the product is “artificially sweetened.” According to the FDA, disclosure of the artificial sweeteners would still be required in the list of ingredients.

Under pressure to reduce calories in school lunches, suppliers are looking for ways to cut sugar. The current petition to the FDA is aimed principally at replacing sugar in flavored milks served to school children. Ironically, aspartame has been linked to weight gain.

But it also asks for the right to put artificial sweeteners in other dairy products including nonfat dried milk, yogurt, cream, half-and-half, sour cream, eggnog and whipping cream without declaring that the product is artificially sweetened.

Numerous scientific studies point to the toxic effects of aspartame, including cancer, digestive issues, and memory impairment.

For decades, researchers and natural health practitioners have warned about the toxicity of artificial sweeteners. Over 75% of adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA concern aspartame. Among the problems reported are headaches, migraines, vision problems, tinnitus, depression, joint pain, insomnia, heart palpitations, and muscle spasms.

According to the WAPF, children’s brains are four times more susceptible to damage from excitotoxins like aspartame than those of adults, and children react with ADD or ADHD symptoms, impaired learning, depression and nausea.

The scientific evidence against aspartame continues to build:
A 2012 study published in the European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences found that repeated aspartame administration to mice impaired their memory performance and increased brain oxidative stress.
In May, 2010, writing in The International Journal of Genomics, scientists advised caution when using aspartame in food and beverages after finding significant chromosomal irregularities in the bone marrow cells of mice following exposure to aspartame.
A 2010 Swiss study published in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine found aspartame to be a cause of liver and lung cancers in mice and rats, and that its effects are increased when animals are exposed to the chemical while in their mother’s womb.

Consumer group SumOfUs is urging the FDA to reject the dairy industry petition. To add your objection visit http://action.sumofus.org/a/aspartame-milk/?sub=homepage.
