'Beast Of Tenby,' Mysterious Creature, Found On English Beach; Experts Weigh In

Seriously, what on earth is this?

A mysterious, distorted carcass has been discovered on an English beach, baffling masses.

The bloated body, dubbed the "Beast of Tenby" and the "Beast from the East" by the English press, has been widely debated, according to the Western Telegraph.

The beast was discovered over the weekend by local resident Peter Bailey, 27, who came across the creature while taking a walk.

"I was taking my dog for her evening walk across the south beach when she started acting out of character by howling and running round in circles," Bailey told the Western Telegraph. "I ran up to her to see if she was ok and then I came across this hideous looking carcass. I could see it had little hair left on it's decomposing body. Immediately I thought it was a horse but it had claws like a bear and a body of a pig. Surprisingly it didn't smell."

The site posted a picture of the beast on Facebook, where it was shared hundreds of times and widely debated.

The Sun reached out to Swansea University's College of Science professor Dr. Dan Forman, who said while it was "difficult to say," the creature's five toes hinted that it might be a badger. Meanwhile, the Western Telegraph reached out to several animal experts, who suggested it could be either a badger or dog.

The debate has apparently even reached city government.

“We did get a call on Friday evening to say a Jack Russell had been washed up on Tenby's South Beach but our staff couldn't find it," Pembrokeshire council representative Len Mullins told Wales Online.

The mysterious creature reminds some of the Brooklyn Bridge "monster" discovered in July and the "Montauk Monster," which washed up on a Long Island beach in 2008. That creature appeared to have a beak, claws, and almond-shaped eyes like an alien, according to New York Magazine.

Scientific evidence of 9/11 Demolition

Today I watched a documentary titled, "9/11 Explosive Evidence" that ONLY looked at scientific evidence done by experts in building engineering, architecture, and fire fighting. There was additional input from psychologists, numerous eyewitnesses of the explosions, and family members of victims.

One man's son was found dead in the LOBBY, killed by an explosion blast, which others had heard and seen. The victim was brought out before any towers came down.

This documentary is a must-see. It does not name names or assign blame for the demolition, but it does point out both signs of destroying evidence afterward and lack of proper and scientific investigation into the 9/11 attacks.

Let me know what you think about this film!

Finding Bigfoot Weekly Recap

February 24, 2013

There was a lot of action on this week's episode of Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot." What made Matt Moneymaker and the team the most excited were tree knock-overs on two consecutive team investigation nights, although the trees could not be located. They estimated that the trees falling were at least a 1/2 mile away with a valley in between them.

The pig callers who came on their final night supplied some humor to the episode, unwittingly, as Matt and Bobo reacted to the god-awful imitations of curly-tailed friends.

James Fox to Announce $100,000 UFO Reward for Proof of an ET Spacecraft

Alejandro Rojas

Posted: 02/21/2013

Filmmaker James Fox, who was one of the stars of National Geograpic's "Chasing UFOs," will announce a $100,000 reward for proof of an alien UFO as part of the promotion for his upcoming movie The 701, inspired by the Air Force's two-decade UFO study, Project Blue Book.

The massive study into 12,618 UFO sightings, which ended in 1969, was able to explain away all but 701 of these sightings.

Fox, who previously directed Out of the Blue (2002) and I Know What I Saw (2009), will reveal the $100K challenge at the 22nd International UFO Congress (IUFOC), which begins Feb. 27, in Fountain Hills, Ariz.

"One of the aspects that sets our film apart is the producers' commitment to bringing forth never-before-seen evidence. As part of this effort, we're offering a $100,000 reward for the best proof that some UFOs are alien spacecraft," Fox told The Huffington Post exclusively.

"This material can be in the form of a photograph, video or film footage or debris from an alleged crash site. But it must be able to withstand scientific scrutiny by our chosen panel.

"Our intent is not to create another television UFO documentary, but to produce a feature film for worldwide theatrical release -- 'The 701' -- the most compelling film ever produced on UFOs," Fox said.

"701 is the number the government doesn't want you to know about. The U.S. Air Force had a serious problem, starting in the late 1940s. Technological devices were invading our airspace with total impunity. Glinting, metallic discs, which could accelerate and maneuver in ways hard to imagine, were being seen in incredible numbers by reliable witnesses. Many of them were pilots."

Fox will be sharing the IUFOC podium over the five-day event with former nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman; ex-FBI Special Agent (and host of the Syfy Channel's Fact, or Faked) Ben Hansen; skeptical research scientist Ben McGee; former UK Ministry of Defense officer Nick Pope; and regression therapist Barbara Lamb, among others, presenting a compelling variety of topics, including:
Ancient Astronauts and Technologies
Physics of Space Travel
A New Look At The Cosmos
ET/Human Hybrids
Close Encounters of The 4th Kind: ET Contact

Watch IUFOC's Jason McClellan and Syfy Channel's Ben Hansen talk about a planned night vision skywatch at the upcoming International UFO Congress:

Congress co-organizers Jason McClellan and Maureen Elsberry host "Spacing Out," a weekly web series that explores UFOs, outer space and the search for extraterrestrial life.

McClellan says the IUFOC, now in its 22nd year, fights to maintain credibility, a not-so-easy task given how many people regard the search for extraterrestrial life.

"Putting aside the giggle factor often associated with UFOs, people can come here and share their stories, experiences and personal viewpoints without being ridiculed," McClellan told HuffPost.

An interesting daily conference activity invites people to attend special experiencer sessions, led by licensed therapists, and which is closed to all press and media.

"It's a place where people can go and share their experiences," said Elsberry. "If they think they've had an experience, whether it be an abduction or any type of close encounter, they can tell it to a professional and share it with other people -- anybody can go and share their story. People can try and find some answers to what they're experiencing. Honestly, for many people, that's the main reason they come to the conference."

Once the $100,000 UFO challenge is announced, it's expected that many people will submit items they feel are credible contenders for the reward. On the other hand, the ease by which UFO photos can be made these days may account for many of the entries.

The image above is an enlargement from the main picture at the top of the story. Could this be a candidate for a $100,000 payoff? Let the contest begin.

Vittorio Missoni's Disappearance Gives Rise To New Fears Of Bermuda Triangles Worldwide

By Lee Speigel
Posted: 02/18/2013

When ships and planes mysteriously vanish -- sometimes without a trace -- speculation runs wild.

Many worry about the conventional -- pilot error, kidnapping and terrorism come to mind. And there are those who worry about the supernatural.

Acclaimed fashion designer Vittorio Missoni and five others boarded a twin-engine BN-2 Islander aircraft in the Los Roques island chain -- pictured below -- near Venezuela on Jan. 4. They were headed for Caracas and had only flown about 11 miles when they vanished into thin air.

After hundreds of people in boats, planes and helicopters searched the area for days, no wreckage or debris of any kind was found, according to ABC News.

The mystery deepened when the only item that turned up was a bag that didn't even belong to anyone on the Missoni flight. The bag, recovered on the nearby island of Curacao, was placed onto Missoni's plane while its Italian tourist owner, caught a different flight out of Los Roques.

More recently, according to Vogue News, two bags belonging to Missoni were found on the island of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles. A statement released by the Missoni family said that, a month and a half after Missoni's plane vanished, "the case is not closed."

Something else added more fuel to speculation that Missoni's flight may have been deliberately diverted. According to ABC News, Missoni's son, Ottavio, told an Italian newspaper that a puzzling text message was reportedly sent from the cellphone of Guido Foresti -- one of the passengers on the missing plane -- to Foresti's son two days after they disappeared.

The younger Missoni told the newspaper the message said: "Call now. We are reachable." No follow-up news has been reported about this.

So what happened to Missoni's plane? Could foul play have been involved, in an area that has seen its share of kidnappings or hijackings by possible drug dealers?

The Guardian reports that unexplained plane crashes and disappearances have allegedly occurred over the last 10 years in the same geographic location between Caracas and the Los Roques chain of 350 islands, cays and islets covering an area of about 40 kilometers.

If any of this sounds even vaguely familiar, it's probably because this area, dubbed locally as the Los Roques Curse, is not far from the infamous Bermuda Triangle -- bordered by Bermuda, Florida and Puerto Rico -- where people, planes and ships have vanished for decades.

Stories of missing aircraft, and crewless or vanished ships fill the literature of the mysteries of seafaring and high-flying individuals who lost their lives from unexplained causes.

1918: The U.S.S. Cyclops, a World War I Navy vessel, is refueling ships in the south Atlantic Ocean. After stopping in Barbados, the ship, with more than 300 passengers and crew aboard, vanishes without a trace in the Bermuda Triangle.

1945: During a training exercise, five U.S. Navy planes disappear in the same Bermuda Triangle area. Adding more mystery to the incident, a search aircraft sent to find the lost planes also unexplainably vanishes.

1950: A Northwest Airlines flight -- with 55 passengers and three crew members -- is en route to Minneapolis from New York City when it apparently simply drops out of sight while passing over what's known today as the Michigan Triangle.

1955: Nine ships disappear from an area of the Pacific Ocean about 60 miles south of Tokyo. Another ship sent to find them also vanishes. This has been dubbed The Devil's Sea.

All of the above cases involve ships or planes that mysteriously vanished and the explanations of those incidents may seem as diverse as the number of cases themselves:

Unexpected severe weather conditions
Pilot or captain error
Pirates or kidnappers
Methane gas buildups capable of sinking a ship without warning

Of course, disappearances in the infamous Bermuda Triangle and some other areas have come amid fears of UFOs, mysterious vortexes, time portals and sea monsters. To be sure, fear can play on any nervous traveler's mind, but some disappearances just defy conventional explanations and fall in the murky category of unexplained phenomena.

Numerous smaller ships and planes have disappeared in the decades following the 1940s after often reporting disturbances causing compasses, radios and other instruments to malfunction.

Finding Bigfoot Weekly Recap

February 18, 2013

The investigators of Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot" explored the unknown jungles of Indonesia in search of the elusive Orang Pendek on the Feb. 10, 2013 episode.

Perhaps a distant relative of North America's Bigfoot, the Orang Pendek is just 3-4 feet tall, half the size of Sasquatch, and not as shy either. Many of the local sightings caught O.P. by surprise, usually too preoccupied with eating to notice villagers walking by.

There was physical evidence discovered in this episode by Analyst Cliff Barackman on his solo investigation, but the episode conclusion came without mentioning any DNA results, which leads me to believe it was from a known animal. Cliff was the perfect person for the solo search, since witnesses said that the orang pendek was the same color as Cliff's gray hair.

It seemed the investigation was cut short after Ranae and Matt heard what they believed to be a tiger. So, in the end, no, they did not Find Bigfoot.

I am excited about next Sunday's episode as the team, Matt Moneymaker (Founder and President of the BFRO), Ranae Holland (Field Biologist), James (Bobo) Fay (Field Investigator), and Cliff Barackman (Bigfoot Expert) travel to Tennessee to search for Sasquatch.

9/11 Researcher Found Dead

Phillip Marshall wrote about conspiracy. Was he a victim of one? '9/11 Truther' Phillip Marshall and his entire family were recently found dead of gunshot wounds in what authorities are calling a murder suicide. Marshall was a former airline pilot and a '9/11 Conspiracy Theorist' and book writer who believed that the Bush administration, with cooperation from Saudi intelligence, had committed the 'false flag' terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. Marshall was also a former CIA and DEA pilot during the Iran/Contra Scandal. Marshall lived in fear for his life while writing his 9/11 Truther book implicating the United States government and George W. Bush in the 'false flag' attacks. Has the US government begun an all out assault on whistle blowers and so-called truthers? That would certainly put at least 50% of Beforeitsnews readers and reporters/contributors in jeapardy of a drone strike or 'accident' for merely seeking truth. The excellent videos below share that many Americans believe that this was another HIT upon a man who knew too much and was willing to share his information with the world. Why'd THEY kill his family, and dog, too? Was that REALLY NECESSARY George Bush? The story below is from The Mail Online and The Santa Barbara View.

A pilot who wrote a conspiracy theory book about 9/11 is dead after he shot his two teenage children and family dog before turning the gun on himself. Micalia Phillips, 14, and her 17-year-old brother Alex, were also found dead at the home inside the gated Forrest Meadows community.
The former airline pilot's controversial conspiracy book The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror was released last year.
While he was writing it, Marshall believed that his life was in danger because of the allegations involved.
According to Santa Barbara View, during the editing and pre-marketing process of Marshall’s book, he expressed some degree of paranoia because the nonfiction work accused the George W. Bush administration of being in cahoots with the Saudi intelligence community in training the hijackers who died in the planes used in the attacks.
“Think about this,” Marshall said last year in a written statement, “The official version about some ghost (Osama bin Laden) in some cave on the other side of the world defeating our entire military establishment on U.S. soil is absolutely preposterous.”
Marshall went on to say: “The true reason the attack was successful is because of an inside military stand-down and a coordinated training operation that prepared the hijackers to fly heavy commercial airliners. We have dozens of FBI documents to prove that this flight training was conducted California, Florida and Arizona in the 18 months leading up to the attack.”
The veteran pilot confided that he was concerned about his 10-year, independent 9/11 study and most recent book since they pointed to the Saudis and the Bush intelligence community as the executioners of the attack that defeated all U.S. military defenses on Sept. 11, 2001. Marshall said he knew his book might cause some people to take issue with him.

Asteroid buzzes, misses Earth, unlike meteor

By MARCIA DUNN | Associated Press

Associated Press/NASA/JPL-Caltech - This image provided by NASA/JPL-Caltech shows a simulation of asteroid 2012 DA14 approaching from the south as it passes through the Earth-moon system on Friday, Feb. 15.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — A 150-foot asteroid hurtled through Earth's backyard Friday, coming within an incredible 17,150 miles and making the closest known flyby for a rock of its size. In a chilling coincidence, a meteor exploded above Russia's Ural Mountains just hours before the asteroid zoomed past the planet.

Scientists the world over, along with NASA, insisted the meteor had nothing to do with the asteroid since they appeared to be traveling in opposite directions. The asteroid is a much more immense object and delighted astronomers in Australia and elsewhere who watched it zip harmlessly through a clear night sky.

"It's on its way out," reported Paul Chodas of NASA's Near-Earth Object program at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California.

Asteroid 2012 DA14, as it's called, came closer to Earth than many communication and weather satellites orbiting 22,300 miles up. Scientists insisted these, too, would be spared, and they were right.

The asteroid was too small to see with the naked eye even at its closest approach around 2:25 p.m. EST, over the Indian Ocean near Sumatra.

The best viewing locations, with binoculars and telescopes, were in Asia, Australia and eastern Europe. Even there, all anyone could see was a pinpoint of light as the asteroid buzzed by at 17,400 mph.

As asteroids go, this one is a shrimp. The one that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago was 6 miles across. But this rock could still do immense damage if it ever struck given its 143,000-ton heft, releasing the energy equivalent of 2.4 million tons of TNT and wiping out 750 square miles.

By comparison, NASA estimated that the meteor that exploded over Russia was much smaller — about 49 feet wide and 7,000 tons before it hit the atmosphere, or one-third the size of the passing asteroid.

As for the back-to-back events, "this is indeed very rare and it is historic," said Jim Green, NASA's director of planetary science. While the asteroid is about half the length of a football field, the exploding meteor "is probably about on the 15-yard line," he said.

"Now that's pretty big. That's typically a couple times bigger than the normal influx of meteorites that create these fireballs," he said in an interview on NASA TV.

"These fireballs happen about once a day or so, but we just don't see them because many of them fall over the ocean or in remote areas. This one was an exception."

As the countdown for the asteroid's close approach entered the final hours, NASA noted that the path of the meteor appeared to be quite different than that of the asteroid, making the two objects "completely unrelated." The meteor seemed to be traveling from north to south, while the asteroid passed from south to north — in the opposite direction.

Most of the solar system's asteroids are situated in a belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, and remain stable there for billions of years. Some occasionally pop out, though, into Earth's neighborhood.

NASA scientists estimate that an object of this size makes a close approach like this every 40 years. The likelihood of a strike is every 1,200 years.

The flyby provides a rare learning opportunity for scientists eager to keep future asteroids at bay — and a prime-time advertisement for those anxious to step up preventive measures.

Friday's meteor further strengthened the asteroid-alert message.

"We are in a shooting gallery and this is graphic evidence of it," said former Apollo astronaut Rusty Schweickart, chairman emeritus of the B612 Foundation, committed to protecting Earth from dangerous asteroids.

Schweickart noted that 500,000 to 1 million sizable near-Earth objects — asteroids or comets — are out there. Yet less than 1 percent — fewer than 10,000 — have been inventoried.

Humanity has to do better, he said. The foundation is working to build and launch an infrared space telescope to find and track threatening asteroids.

If a killer asteroid was, indeed, incoming, a spacecraft could, in theory, be launched to nudge the asteroid out of Earth's way, changing its speed and the point of intersection. A second spacecraft would make a slight alteration in the path of the asteroid and ensure it never intersects with the planet again, Schweickart said.

Asteroid DA14 — discovered by Spanish astronomers only last February — is "such a close call" that it is a "celestial torpedo across the bow of spaceship Earth," Schweickart said in a phone interview Thursday.

NASA's deep-space antenna in California's Mojave Desert was ready to collect radar images, but not until eight hours after the closest approach given the United States' poor positioning for the big event.

Scientists at NASA's Near-Earth Object program at California's Jet Propulsion Laboratory estimate that an object of this size makes a close approach like this every 40 years. The likelihood of a strike is every 1,200 years.

Bigfoot DNA Tests: Science Journal's Credibility Called Into Question

Bigfoot is real ... maybe.

After months of waiting for a peer-reviewed scientific journal to publish findings on the validity of alleged Bigfoot DNA evidence, the time has come for answers. But is there enough empirical evidence to finally confirm that the elusive, tall, hairy man-beast of North America really exists? Maybe, but questions have now been raised about the scientific journal publishing the findings.

In November, after a five-year study of purported Bigfoot (aka Sasquatch) DNA samples, Texas geneticist Melba Ketchum and a team of experts in genetics, forensics, imaging and pathology, were anxious for their findings to be published in a scientific journal. On Wednesday, their research appeared in the DeNovo Journal of Science, which seemed to confirm Ketchum's research about the reality of Bigfoot.

But according to GoDaddy.com, DeNovo was first registered as a domain on Feb. 4, 2013 --- anonymously and for only one year.

The current edition of DeNovo is listed as Volume 1, Issue 1, and its only content, thus far, is the Bigfoot research.

Also, on Ketchum's Sasquatch Genome Project website, she writes, "It has been a long and tedious battle to prove that Sasquatch exists. ... Trying to publish has taken almost two years. It seems mainstream science just can't seem to tolerate something controversial, especially from a group of primarily forensic scientists and not 'famous academians' aligned with large universities, even though most of our sequencing and analysis was performed at just such facilities."

Ketchum then explains how one journal agreed to publish her findings, but then was advised not to by its lawyers because such a controversial subject "would destroy the editors' reputations (as it has already done to mine). ... Rather than spend another five years just trying to find a journal to publish and hoping that decent, open minded reviewers would be chosen, we acquired the rights to this journal and renamed it so we would not lose the passing peer reviews that are expected by the public and the scientific community."

And therein lies the potential problem: Did Ketchum "buy" this journal, and begin its new existence under the name of DeNovo just over a week ago in order to get what appears to be a favorable peer review of her Bigfoot studies? That's the big question being raised by numerous people at this point.

According to a press release by Ketchum's Sasquatch Genome Project, the study, "which sequenced three whole Sasquatch nuclear genomes, shows that the legendary Sasquatch is extant in North America and is a human relative that arose approximately 13,000 years ago and is hypothesized to be a hybrid cross of modern Homo sapiens with a novel primate species."

A total of 111 specimens of alleged Sasquatch hair, blood, skin and other tissues formed the basis of the study. These samples came from many individuals and groups at sites covering 14 states and two Canadian provinces.

On her Doubtful News website, skeptic and geologist Sharon Hill raises many questions about Ketchum's claims.

"I clicked on the DeNovo site and was appalled at how amateurish the site is. It's full of stock photographs, very poorly coded, there are errors all over it and it's very difficult to navigate," Hill told The Huffington Post.

"[Ketchum] documented that she acquired the rights to this journal. We don't know what journal that was. I still can't find it and that's a little fishy," said Hill. "And then she renamed it so they would not lose the peer reviews that they had. It looks suspicious. This is not how science works."

Also, on the DeNovo site, the journal itself is identified as both DeNovo and DeVono.

It would be a huge story if all the work done by Ketchum and her team ultimately leads to scientific confirmation of the reality of Sasquatch. But at this point, the new wrinkles about the DeNovo Science Journal have only added to the credibility issues by a foot or two -- a Bigfoot.

What If... The Asteroid Hit Earth?

Miriam Kramer, SPACE.com Published: Feb 14, 2013, 4:51 PM EST

Asteroid to Barely Miss Earth

There is absolutely no chance that asteroid 2012 DA14 will hit Earth when it makes its closest approach on Friday, Feb. 15, but many other asteroids like it have made a crash landing on the planet in the past.

Although the 150-foot space rock is nowhere near as large as the asteroid thought thought to have killed off the dinosaurs — that behemoth was likely about 6 miles wide — it could still cause some serious damage, experts say.

"The asteroid is about 150 feet in diameter and has a mass estimated at about 143,000 tons," NASA astronomer Don Yeomans wrote in a Feb. 9 opinion piece for The New York Times. "Should an object of that size hit Earth, it would cause a blast with the energy equivalent of about 2.4 million tons — or 2.4 megatons — of TNT explosives, more than 180 times the power of the atomic blast that leveled Hiroshima."

This image provided by NASA/JPL-Caltech shows a simulation of asteroid 2012 DA14 approaching from the south as it passes through the Earth-moon system on Feb. 15, 2013. The 150-foot object will pass within 17,000 miles of the Earth. (NASA/JPL-CALTECH)

Yeomans and his colleagues at NASA have said that an asteroid of similar size to 2012 DA14 probably caused the so-called "Tunguska Event" over Siberia's Tunguska River in 1908.
In that case, a 100-foot-wide asteroid exploded after it entered Earth's atmosphere, leveling 825 square miles of trees in the region. If asteroid 2012 DA14 were to strike the planet, it would probably behave in much the same way as the Tunguska object, NASA scientists have said.

The asteroid's impact wouldn't cause a worldwide catastrophe, Yeomans said, but it would be a regional disaster.

Tunguska-like airbursts occur when an asteroid falls through Earth's atmosphere, superheating the rock and causing it to explode. The violent detonation creates intense blasts of hot wind and gas that destroys any organic material on the ground.

These kinds of impacts aren't too uncommon. In late 2009, an asteroid released the equivalent of 110,000 pounds of TNT over Indonesia when it exploded over the island nation. That space rock was estimated to be 16 to 33 feet in diameter, according to a NASA report.

While Earth will continue to be pummeled by asteroids for the duration of its existence, we're unlikely to see a civilization-threatening impact anytime soon. NASA researchers have mapped out the paths for 90 percent of the Earth-destroying near-Earth objects, and so far they've found none on a collision course in the foreseeable future.

You can watch the asteroid's flyby here on Slooh's Space Camera.

Colorado Researchers Say DNA Proves Bigfoot Is Real

(credit: CBS)

DENVER (CBS4) – Bigfoot is real. That’s according to a group of Colorado researchers who say they have hard evidence proving its existence.

Researcher Dave Paulides is convinced the reality of Bigfoot isn’t as fuzzy as the photos from people who claim to have seen the mythological creature.

“This DNA is like nothing else in the world,” Paulides said.

Paulides says Bigfoot looks approximately 7 to 8 feet tall and weighs in at a whopping 800 to 1,000 pounds.

“It’s easy to say a lot of things are crazy. If you lived underground your whole life, the belief that 400 people could fly in a plane would sound crazy,” Paulides said.

TV Series Updates

From Erin Ryder, star of Destination Truth with Josh Gates, and Chasing UFO's (January 16, 2013):

www.ufologists2ns.com

#DestinationTruth is currently on hold. We have not been given the green light to start shooting another season...BUT that does not mean it couldn't happen in the very near future...so start crossing your fingers and eyes now!

Sadly #ChasingUFOs is not coming back. We had a good run but I don't think it was 100% right for NatGeo. I think if @bwmcgee @jamescfox and I get to work together again it will be a more scientific format...so we shall see what the future holds.

Finding Bigfoot Recap Feb. 11, 2013

The investigators of Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot" narrowly missed another chance to capture a Bigfoot on camera as they explored South Dakota on the Feb. 10, 2013 episode.

After James Twiss, a retired chief of police officer, saw Sasquatch through a thermal imager (although not one that can record), the team followed leads from members of the local Lakota tribe. Cliff Barackman stayed overnight but uncovered no video, audio, or physical evidence that the creatures were there. He did see an American Bison though.

The rest of the team followed up on tips from residents, who all seemed credible. From there, they narrowed down their search to a ridge where a water source was found and plenty of food could be available to a family of Sasquatch. One knock was all that came from their last night in the investigation. Still, all four believed that Bigfoots could live there and most likely do.

I look forward to the show every week, but this one left me frustrated, again. The witness stories are always cool, but the team hardly ever finds anything. At least most of the time they hear something (something more than a single knock).

I am excited about next Sunday's episode as the team, Matt Moneymaker (Founder and President of the BFRO), Ranae Holland (Field Biologist), James (Bobo) Fay (Field Investigator), and Barackman (Bigfoot Expert) travel to the Island of Sumatra Indonesia to search for Sasquatch's distant relative, Orang Pendek.

"Destination: Truth" fans will recall Josh Gates' journey through the unfamiliar jungle and caves to find Orang Pendek. It will be interesting to see how the "Finding Bigfoot" team fares out of their element.

UFO Disclosure Project reveals Alien Baby

Dr. Steven Greer, an American osteopath and ufologist who founded the Orion Project and The Disclosure Project, recently discussed the research findings on the alleged alien baby in a January, 2013 interview.

"It is not a hoax," Greer said. "It is definitely a biological specimen."

The creature was found in Atacama desert in South America. People near where the alleged alien was found spoke of having seeing similar looking Beings and egg shaped ET craft.

"Dr. Bravo, Emery Smith, and I traveled to the country (Chile) that is now home to this small possible ET body and were able to successfully obtain extensive X-Ray and CT Scans of the entire body," Greer said. "We were also able to obtain DNA samples under sterile, surgical conditions. These DNA samples are now being studied by one of the world’s top geneticists."

Greer is still waiting on the numerous and expensive test results on the alien body.

Oswald home to become museum

You may think it odd, even morbid, but as the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy approaches, the city of Irving, Texas, is restoring the home Lee Harvey Oswald in which slept in the night before the assassination and turning it into a museum.

Oswald was accused of being the lone gunman in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Two days after his arrest, he was silenced by Jack Ruby, who had known mob connections.

Accused witch tortured, burned alive in New Guinea

A woman accused of witchcraft was stripped, tortured and bound, then burned her alive in front of hundreds of witnesses in a Papua New Guinea town, police said Friday, February 8, 2013.

Kepari Leniata, a 20-year-old who had a child, had been accused of sorcery by relatives of a 6-year-old boy who died in the hospital the day before, police spokesman Dominic Kakas said. She was tortured with a hot iron rod, bound, doused in gasoline, then set alight on a pile of car tires and trash in the Western Highlands provincial capital of Mount Hagen, Kakas said.

Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga described the murder as "shocking and devilish.""We are in the 21st century and this is totally unacceptable," Commissioner Kulunga said in a statement.

Deputy Police Commissioner Simon Kauba described the victim's husband as the "prime suspect." The husband had fled the province.

Not a single arrest was made.

D. B. Cooper mystery still alive; Fingerprint test forthcoming

The family of Lynn Doyle Cooper, an Oregon resident who died in 1999, are waiting to see if DNA collected from his toothbrush matches the only known DNA evidence gathered at the time of the November 24, 1971 hijacking. As it is, three sets of fingerprints were extracted from the hijacker's clip-on tie, which was purchased at a second-hand store. It is possible that none of the three prints were his.

The mystery of D. B. Cooper has never been solved. Although boarding as "Dan" Cooper, he was mistakenly referred to as D. B. Cooper after he hijacked a Boeing 727 between Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. He extorted $200,000 and asked for four parachutes. After releasing the passengers, the plane took off with its crew. Around 8:00 p.m., Cooper ordered the crew into the cockpit. Moments later, they felt a change in air pressure. The aft door had been opened. Although no one saw Cooper jump out, it was believed he jumped out with the money and parachuted down.

In August, 2011, Marla Wynn Cooper proposed that her uncle, a Korean War veteran named Lynn Doyle Cooper, may have been D. B. Although her uncle had been dead since 1999, she was able to supply a few of his belongings, including his toothbrush, for fingerprint and DNA analysis.

Wynn Cooper, 8 at the time of the hijacking, recalled her uncle L.D. showing up the day after the hijacking (Thanksgiving) with blood on his shirt. He told her that he was in a car accident. She said her parents came to believe that he was the hijacker. Another clue was her uncle's obsession with a Canadian comic book hero named Dan Cooper and had one of the issues tacked to his wall. There are some physical similarities also between L. D. and D. B., including their wavy hair as described by passengers aboard the hijacked flight.

The FBI confirmed that Wynn Cooper passed a lie detector test about the events and her belief that her uncle was indeed D. B. Cooper.

On Tuesday, February 5, 2013, FBI Agent reportedly told Wynn Cooper that after he receives the toothbrush fingerprint from the crime lab, he plans to close the case.

'Legacy of Secrecy' to probe JFK Mystery

I have always been drawn to mysteries, but one in particular has always been near the top, that of the "mysterious" death of President John F. Kennedy (JFK) on Nov. 22, 2063. It may be because my birthday is Nov. 22, although I came to be three years after the assassination. Nevertheless, the date seems to be the link. (Aside note: Blackbeard the Pirate also died on Nov. 22). The facts in the case have so many holes and the eye witness accounts have always kept the mystery alive.

Now, nearly 50 years later, Leonardo DiCaprio will star in and co-produce a new film called "Legacy of Secrecy: The Long Shadow of the JFK Assassination," set for a 2013 release. DiCaprio will play an FBI informant helping to solve the murder in an adaption of the 2008 novel in which Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann reexamine the JFK assassination. Only this time, it doesn't look like Lee Harvey Oswald did it. But, the film points the finger at another familiar name in JFK lore, southern mob boss, Carlos Marcello, who reported had confessed involvement in the murder.

The release date of the Warner Bros. Picture has not yet been announced, but the hope is that it will be in time for the 50th anniversary.

"In Search of" released to DVD

One of my all-time favorite series is still "In Search Of..." hosted by Leonard Nimoy, which ran six seasons from 1976 to 1982. The series was devoted to mysteries of the universe, including everything from Bigfoot to Jack the Ripper. Finally, the series has been released to DVD and Blu-Ray, through VEI and NBC/Universal.

The series spurred my imagination and helped me think about things in different ways. As a 10-year-old boy with a big imagination already, I was a sponge soaking in as much knowledge as possible. It inspired me so much in fact that I believe in Heaven, all the answers to the mysteries will be revealed to me. That's what I'm looking forward to the most after I die!

There are 145 episodes, on 19 discs, coming to 4,350 minutes! Episodes include the Loch Ness Monster, Ghosts, the Lindbergh kidnapping, UFO's, Amelia Earhart, Nostradamus, and even Dracula.  It also was the first time I heard about the Roswell Incident.

The box set prices ranges from $96 to $129, depending on where you look for it. It's a must-have for the mystery lovers out there.

Is 2013 the year Bigfoot's existence is confirmed?

The search for Sasquatch is at an all-time high with the popularity of Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot" and the numerous reports already coming in for 2013! So, it leaves cryptozoologists asking will 2013 be the year.

Not the year of its discovery, as many people have already seen it and know it exists, but for the proof to be presented to the masses with the backing of prestigious scientist testimony and physical evidence.

In November of 2012, Dr. Melba S. Ketchum announced to the world that she has DNA evidence that Sasquatch is alive and well.

[Dr Melba S. Ketchum is the founder of DNA Diagnstics, Inc.  based in Nacogdoches, East Texas.
She heads a team proficient in laboratory genetics for human beings and all manner of animals too. Amongst her previous forensic work was testing DNA found in the debris of the World Trade Center in 2001. Until November 2012, she wasn't out to prove the existence of Bigfoot.
Yet all that changed five years ago, when she began collecting samples of hair, which donors claimed had come from Sasquatch.  Her genetic investigation has only now reached a conclusion; and it's one which many of her peers would be surprised to read.
Bigfoot does exist; and mitochondrial DNA confirms that it shares a common mother with human beings.  The evolutionary division occurred around 15,000 years ago.
Dr Ketchum told a press conference, in November 2012, that "... (Sasquatch) do have human in them.  There is human sequence interspersed in their genome."
All told, the DNA Diagnostics team were able to compile 'three whole genome sequences from three different individuals'.  The results appear to have shocked Dr Ketchum too.  She further explained, "That was the first time that I saw something which gave some unusual results."]
It should be noted that Ketchum was the person that Josh Gates of "Destination: Truth" went to with his YETI evidence. It may be that the DNA from Nepal matched that found in the U.S.! It is theorized that Sasquatch came from Asia to North America across the land bridge once above the Bering Strait.

Physical evidence of Gigantopithecus, an extinct genus of ape that existed from roughly nine million years to as recently as one hundred thousand years ago, in what is now China, India, and Vietnam, placing Gigantopithecus in the same time frame and geographical location as several hominin species. Gigantopithecus blacki were the largest apes that ever lived, standing up to 3 m (9.8 ft), and weighing up to 540 kg (1,200 lb). These dimensions match up with many of the Bigfoot sightings. The average height of of Bigfoot in eye witness reports is just under 8 feet.

There are still hoaxers out there releasing bogus videos on youtube. Who can forget the Sasquatch costume stuffed into a cooler? It's unfortunate that hoaxers make it hard for serious cryptozoologists to gain credibility. But I hope to capture real video this summer as I travel north in Wisconsin to conduct my search.

TIPS IN YOUR SEARCH: If you are OUT THERE looking for Sasquatch, please remember to respect its existence. We don't need a body to prove bigfoots exist. Cast footprints, take lots of video and photos, check for hair evidence, and be aware of the other KNOWN animals that live there, i.e. snakes, bear, wolves, and coyotes, etc.
